A few years ago I had the unique opportunity to visit the graves of my ancestors across the country. Some of the graveyards were beautiful and well kept. Others were barely recognizable and lost in the woods and weeds. It had a very profound and deeply spiritual effect on me. The experience stuck with me and I had an overwhelming desire to restore these places to properly memorialize and honor my ancestors. I saw a great need to restore these burial grounds and preserve our history and heritage before they are lost to time and decay forever. That is why I formed this company, so likeminded individuals with a desire to restore and preserve their heritage and honor their ancestors can have someone available who is dedicated to this work.
Services Offered
This is a new company and as such services may vary widely. In keeping with the main goal for which this company is formed prices will be negotiable. At this time I have two main areas of focus: Site restoration and to positively identify individuals in unmarked graves.
Site Restoration
Complete site restoration: Determining boundaries, securing access to sites, adequate fencing, replacing markers, landscaping, site clearing, historical site determination and marker placement, etc.
Research
Research unmarked burials, damaged or illegible markers, to positively identify individuals through archival investigation, forensics and DNA (whenever and wherever it is possible), church records, etc. and placement of appropriate marker to honor the persons memory and provide descendants with records.
